However, as our opening hours may vary seasonally, we recommend checking them in advance to plan your visit.

Rindal Ski Museum is conveniently located just over an hour's drive from Trondheim, making it easily accessible for visitors. For those preferring public transport, there are excellent bus connections, with a bus stop situated right outside the museum. Our picturesque rural setting, combined with seamless transport links to Trondheim, makes the museum an ideal destination for a memorable day trip—whether you're interested in the history of skiing, local culture, or simply enjoying the scenic surroundings of Rindal.

Summer and Winter Season

In summer season from mid June to mid August we are open Tuesday-Sunday 11:00-17:00.

In winter season we are open on sceduled events and for pre-booked groups and events such as our Wooden Ski Festival (Feb. 21th - 23th 2025) and during the The FIS Nordic World Ski Championships which take place in Trondheim in 2025 we will be open for 2 weeks  from Feb. 25th to March 9th Tuesday-Sunday 11:00-17:00.

Getting here

By car: Conveniently situated halfway between Trondheim and Molde, just take off the country road 65, follow the signs to Rindal sentrum, and The Rindal Ski Museum is easily accessible in the heart of Rindal centre. The drive is about 1h10min. By bus: You can take AtB bus number 902 or 905 from Trondheim to Rindal bus station. The total travel time for this route is approximately 1h30min.
